Originally there were only Kudu’s and Impala on the farm; in 1989 the Wessel’s family established Hippopotami, Rhinoceros and Sable antelope on the farm. In 1995 Elephants that were earmarked to be culled in the Kruger National Park, were relocated to Mabalingwe and in 1999 a disease free Buffalo breeding project was established in Hoedspruit in the Limpopo Province, which meant that disease free Buffalo could be introduced to Mabalingwe. Leopard’s Haven accommodation consists of two houses accommodating a total of 24 guests, each house comprises of the follo wing. An upstairs loft consisting of 4 single beds, perfect for children over the age of 12 or adults who don’t mind sharing. Two bathrooms consisting of a bath, basin & toilet. Both houses are fully serviced by a resident couple on the property and are fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, linen, bathroom & swimming towels etc.
